UPDATE 0.8.0!!!

Many players are finally getting the 0.8.0 update that they all have been waiting for.  Following the Chinese version of the game, the PUBG Mobile that is available in playstore is very much behind its Chinese version. However, with the recent 0.8.0 update there are some improvement and additional contents. First of all, the update itself is 1.5 GB on Android.

There is finally a new map in the game called SANHOK. This map is much smaller than the other two Maps ( Erangel and Miramar). This would mean the match would end faster and players have to more careful when wondering around.

Another obvious change is the waiting area in Erangel. Instead of a broken plane waiting area, players are now located in a theme-park map that changes location all the time. Players are also given 10 throwables in the form of apples for target practicing.

Now, instead of clicking on random location on the map to locate which direction the plane is flying from, there is now a moving pathway which indicates the direction of where the plane is flying from.

With the new Sanhok Map, it is also expected that the developers add new guns to correspond with the new map and thus the QBZ is introduced. (see weapons). There is also the availability of flare guns in all 3 maps. What this gun does is that it signals for an airdrop in the shot location. The flare gun effect can only be used inside the playzone.

 

 

 

 

 

There is also new vehicles that are introduced. There is a 4 seat Muscle Car that is available in a hard-top version and also the convertible version. Another vehicle that is also new and sought after is the bulletproof UAZ. Just like the other UAZ ( see vehicles) it has 4 seats and it deflect bullets, protecting players that is in the vehicle. However, this effect is only applicable within the play zone.

There is also a new attachment for shotguns called Duckbill reduces vertical spread and increases horizontal spread.

 

 

 

 

There is also a useful feature that have been added which is customizable pick up. What this does is that it allows players to set the amount of selected inventories that they want to pick up. Is it possible to auto pick up frag grenades, smoke grenades, molokovs and many more. Players can limit the amount of bullet that they want to pick up as well.

There are also new features in the clan such as clan perks, new clan titles and clan ranking. Clan perks allows an uncertain number of players to receive perks from players that get a specific item from crates. New clan titles can be equipped after purchases as well. Clan ranking allows members of the clan to identify and see who is the most active and who is the most inactive based on weeks and seasons.

In the 0.8.0 update there is also new achievement that players can try to complete.

There are also some minor improvement visually.  The animation on the season page has been optimised for certain model of smartphones and tablets. Players need not worry if their smartphone is not one of the optimised. There are future dates for that.

There are now 3D models added to vehicles and aeroplane in the shop. This means that players can view it up and down and also panning it to the left or right. Truly spectacular. Chat system have also been tuned where it is much smoother to listen to teammates in team chat and enemies in the all chat.

Friends can now be deleted in batches and not one by one. Items in the airdrop have also been tuned. Now, M24 is found in normal buildings instead of airdrops. (cannot confirm yet). Accidental friendly fire will not be penalized anymore.

The developers of the game have also firmed up their anti cheating measures. It is now easier to detect cheating plug-ins. While spectating after being killed, there is a report button, basic information and results. Time limited items obtained from gift crates can now be dismantled and converted to BP directly. A new button called collect all is available in the progress mission discourage players from collecting the reward one by one which would take some time. There is also new mission type in the Royale Pass to make progression more fun.

A new feature that is added into the 0.8.0 update is the lucky airdrop. There is a chance for players to get a mystery drop after a match. The contents of the lucky airdrop is customised and the items in the lucky airdrops are all exchangeable. Players must forgo a discounted amount of tickets to get the item in the air drops. The Season page of the game now shows all seasons played and relevant data such as season titles, the highest tier reached and more.
